Our mission is to be the only name people think of when they think gaming radio.

About Us

Respawn FM was founded on December 16, 2017 by David Schiehsl. It is the culmination of years of work to create the best gaming radio possible.

David's work began with RuneScape Radio, RsRadio for short. Created in February 2009 as a collaborative project with Tim Denninger.

Runescape Radio lasted through eight versions released over the course of 6 years. Finally RuneScape Radio was retired due to limited success, but the story did not end there. Believing that the problem lied in the choice of representative game, David attempted a Minecraft project, RedStone radio, ensuring that the abbreviation remained the same.

Although RedStone Radio was also short-lived, the experimentation gave rise to the idea of a gaming radio for all games, instead of just one. Thus, Respawn FM Radio was born.

David's extensive history designing and running radios has allowed Respawn to become by far the best iteration of RsRadio yet, and to go well beyond any of the competition. Respawn prides itself on its extensive customizability and its one-of-a-kind control, which allows its DJs to connect with listeners in ways other radios simply can't match.
